Position: Retie Specialist (1099 Contractor)

Styles by Necia: Loc Studio is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Retie Specialist to join our team. This is a laid-back, drama-free environment built on mutual respect, quality work, and peace of mind — ideal for someone who enjoys structure, simplicity, and great energy without the noise.

🧼 About the Role:

This position is strictly focused on retie and shampoo services — no installations, no repairs, no consultations.

You’ll work with an established clientele, with appointments scheduled and managed for you. All we need is someone who can show up on time, follow our standards, and treat each crown with care.

💰 Position Details:

  • Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

  • Pay: Commission per client or Flat Rate (TBD)

  • Hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Part-Time Flexible Schedule includes 1-hour lunch)

  • Location: Styles by Necia: Loc Studio, South Nashville

✅ Requirements:

  • Must hold at least a valid Tennessee Braiding License

  • Must have experience with natural hair or locs

  • Must be able to shampoo clients comfortably and professionally

  • Punctuality and consistency are a must

  • Willing to be trained in our retie techniques and salon standards

  • Preferably age 40+, mature, grounded, and not chasing clout

  • Calm, introvert-friendly energy is a huge plus!

🚫 Not Included:

  • No microloc installations

  • No repairs or takedowns

  • No color or chemical services

  • No client consultations
